Dr. Asya Johnson is honored, grateful and humbled to receive the Outstanding Recent Alumni Award from Drexel University's School of Education! This recognition honors graduates from the past ten years who have made meaningful contributions to their community, profession, and Drexel’s mission. She is recognized for the work she loves, uplifting students of color, reimagining education, and advocating for equity. She has served as the principal of Longwood Preparatory Academy in the South Bronx and as an adjunct professor at New York University. We applaud her for this impressive recognition and we lift her up as she continues forward in her important work!
